Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo is an original handmade linoprint and has been made with multiple plates.
Black Cockatoos are one of Rowan's favourite birds. While they are seldom seen in Lewisham, Rowan was lucky one day to be walking the dog not far from the train station and came across a mob of cheeky yellow-tailed black cockatoos feeding in the trees on the verge and playing.
The print has been made with two hand-carved blocks which has then been inked up with artist-quality ink. Paper is then laid over the blocks and hand-burnished before the print is pulled.
This print would be perfect for your favourite bird nerd or vocal enthusiast!
