Multi-Plate Prints - Little Rowan Redhead

More about this technique

Multi-plate printing is where each colour in a design gets its own separately carved block, all printed on top of each other in sequence to build up the final image. It requires careful registration to make sure everything lines up, but the payoff is crisp, clean layers of colour with a precision that's hard to achieve any other way.
