Come and learn how to block print for Christmas with Rowan Sivyer, AKA Little Rowan Redhead, printmaker and author of ‘Modern Block Printing’.
Block printing is a lovely way of creating one-of-a-kind stationery, gift wrap or fabric and is PERFECT for Christmas! In this beginner's class, you will learn how to carve a rubber stamp which you can either design yourself or use one of Rowan’s designs. Along the way, Rowan will share with you her favourite materials and carving techniques.
No prior printmaking experience is necessary and all materials will be provided. Students will take home any stamps they carve as well as any stationery that they make.

Rowan is committed to slow art and appreciates the joy and satisfaction that comes with working by hand. Rowan prints all of her original linoprints in the front sunroom of her house in Lewisham, Sydney. It is a small space (no room for a big press), but a happy and productive one, proving that you don't need a lot of room to make beautiful art.
