Twelve months, twelve native birds, all brought to life through the rich, textured world of hand-carved linocut.

Australian printmaker Rowan Sivyer has spent years falling for the quirks and character of our feathered locals — the tilt of a kookaburra's head, the strut of a magpie, the flash of colour on a rainbow lorikeet. Each image in this calendar began life as a hand-carved lino block, inked and printed by hand in Rowan's home studio, then reproduced here so you can bring a little bit of that studio warmth into your home or office all year round.
