What could be more Christmassy than Christmas beetles? These beetles are a member of the scarab family of beetles and they can often be found in both rural and urban areas in Australia around Christmas time - hence their name!
The design, based on my hand carved Christmas beetle stamp, has been riso printed with gold ink onto black card. The black card has then been trimmed and placed on top of a white card. Inside is left blank for you to leave a personalised message.
The card comes with a recycled brown kraft paper envelope.
The dimension is 10.5 x 14.8 cm (4.1' x 5.8').
What is a riso print?
A Risograph is a digital duplicator machine that is similar to a photocopying machine although it is not a copier. The process can be likened to high speed silk screen printing. The result has a handcrafted look and there can sometimes be imperfections which is part of the charm of riso printing. The ink used is a soy oil based ink.
