A5 size blue fairy wren linoprint.
It is always a thrill to see fairy-wrens in their natural habitat - they move quickly, darting here and there, flashing their colour as they go. The male is usually the most colourful of a mating pair.
Process and Materials
I have tried to capture a little of the wren's personality in this print. 'Blue fairy-wren' is printed by hand using two hand carved rubber blocks. I print the background colour first and then when dry, the foreground is printed on top. Each print has been lovingly hand burnished. I use beautiful Japanese rice paper and artist quality printing ink to get a crisp image and saturated colour.
Size
The print is A5 size - 21cm x 14.9cm (5.83 × 8.27 inches).
Shipping
Each print is signed and packaged in beautiful tissue paper and supported with a heavy card stock backing board. It will be sent in a rigid mailer to protect it from damage.
