Block printing was made for Christmas! From printing rustic Christmas cards to personalising gift wrap for someone special to printing your own ornaments, there are many ways to use block printing in your Christmas crafting.
In this class you will design and carve your own collection of Christmas stamps which you will then use to print cards, gift tags and gift wrap. I will also bring along my own Christmas stamps and some templates to create Christmas ornaments.
My classes are supportive and inclusive - I believe that ANYONE can learn how to block print.
No former experience is required. Kids over 10 are welcome with an accompanying parent. We are using sharp tools so due care should be taken. Christmas-themed snacks will be provided!
Rowan is committed to slow art and appreciates the joy and satisfaction that comes with working by hand. Rowan prints all of her original linoprints in the front sunroom of her house in Lewisham, Sydney. It is a small space (no room for a big press), but a happy and productive one, proving that you don't need a lot of room to make beautiful art.
